DMV Music Artist Amaru Tells His Life Story and Love for Music

While the news depicts COVID-19 as a negative thing, a lot of people are diving into their passion and purpose and creating greatness from being quarantined. Artist Amaru has developed his passion for music into a career in music. Recently releasing singles "Hit the Lottery", "Venting", and "Uptown Villian", he is not stopping anytime soon; be just began.
Music has always been apart of Amaru's entire life with growing up with his grandfather and brothers singing together for fun. Singing hit songs like "Dance With My Father Again" by Luther Vandross and "Who's Loving You" by Michael Jackson. His passion for music comes from seeing the impact it had on his life but millions of others. He loves how he is able to express himself and however he feels by using his voice to connect with others. He believes that music is like therapy and it has got him out of some really tough times. He is in a current space where he has the freedom to create and connect with his inner self while also rebranding his family legacy.
Single "Hit the Lottery" speaks of Amaru current relationship that he has been in for 7 years. He created the song to not only express his love towards his queen but to show the world that they are here to stay and that he is the luckiest man alive to have his lady by his side.
As creatives, we are always on the go and Amaru states: "I never really understood the value in self-care until my mother passed away. I was in a dark place and disconnected with the world". During this time of isolation, he began to refocus and found peace.
Though we are in quarantine, Amaru plans to share his story in his music, be consistent with creating new music, and building a stronger fan base by collaborating with other artists throughout the DMV and surrounding areas.
